Clara's Dream

We had the opportunity to attend a premiere performance of "Clara's Dream," an adaptation of "The Nutcracker" in which two of my students danced.  Prior to the ballet, there was a lovely tea: "Clara's Tea."  We were served by some of the dancers.  It was very nice and my littlest one was thrilled to see one of her classmates and friends at the tea also!
They were so adorable all dressed up, delighting in their friendship and the beauty of the ballet.  It was a special afternoon.

These pics were taken with my phone, so the resolution isn't great.  You will notice from the photos that College Girl is home! Yay! Sammy enjoyed himself also.  It was a sweet way to spend an afternoon.

Happy Birthday, Dear Annie,

Happy Birthday to you!!!
She turns 5 today.  My baby.  Oh, how the time has flown.
She is so excited and I will try to be excited with her.....but, my baby is now five.
Thank you, Annie, for filling our lives with pink, sparkles, princesses and joy.
We love you very much.
God bless you, my sparkly, pink, 5 year old.

Little Ballerina

Annie has been anxiously awaiting her "ballet in the fall" lessons. But, last week she began saying that she didn't want to do ballet. I couldn't get her to tell me the reason she was changing her mind; she only said she was shy (which is not like her at all!) Well, Miss Valerie finally coaxed her into joining the group and she had a wonderful time! As we were walking to the car following her lesson, she said to me, "That was fun. We didn't go on stage." Poor girl!! She thought (perhaps because her brothers keep telling her....grrr...) that she was going to have to perform on stage at her first lesson!! Here are some pix of the little ballerinas.
