Happy Birthday, Scott

Even though he doesn't like this sort of thing, I couldn't let my hubby's special day go unrecognized. Happy Birthday, my love.
May God bless you today and always with the Grace, Wisdom, and Strength that the physical and spiritual Head of a household needs, with the JOY to appreciate his blessings, and with the Confidence that you are a beloved child of God.
Here are pics of you doing some of the things you love best:

Happy Birthday, Sammy!

Happy 8th birthday to my Sweet Sammy.
My gentle giant with the big bear hugs.
Your tender spirit is a gift to our family, and your strong
muscles are a gift to your basketball team!!
We have enjoyed watching you grow into the wonderful boy you are right now.
We love you very much.
God bless you, Sam.

Sammy also made his first Penance on Friday, Feb. 19. He was nervous, but prepared. A change in venue, rectory vs. church, threw him a bit and caused a wee bit of panic, but he overcame it and was soon bathed in the grace God's forgiveness.
Sweet. Beautiful. Grace.
May your 8th year be filled with His grace.

Where, oh, where...

did I put my brain? It must be in one of those boxes in the basement waiting to be unpacked...
Last week, February 5 to be exact(the day I should have posted this), we celebrated my youngest niece's birthday at our family co-op. She was very excited about her birthday and we were happy to celebrate with her. Now, obviously she is older than one, but there wasn't enough room for 8 candles on that cupcake! One candle was "a piece of cake" to blow out though. (forgive the bad pun)
Siblings and cousins combined to give her a box of homemade cards. Very sweet!
Happy 8th birthday, Victoria!

Happy Birthday, Ethan

You are eleven years old today, and becoming a young man before our eyes. We have watched you mature in many ways this year-- intelligence, sense of humor, focus, drive, intensity. You received the 100% award for your soccer team this year, and that is how you operate. It is our wish and prayer for you that you approach your life with 100% of yourself, 100% commitment, 100% integrity, 100% perseverance and 100% trust in God, that His plan for your life be fulfilled. We love you very much. Happy, happy 11th birthday, Ethan. Here you are doing what you love best!
We love watching you love it!!

Sweet 16

Happy Sweet 16 to my oldest niece and goddaughter. Unfortunately, this picture is from last year. Since then, she has shed her braces and recently, gotten a perm! She looks marvelous as she enters these later teen years. Much more importantly, though, is the interior growth of this lovely young woman. She is pursuing a personal relationship with Jesus and living out her Catholic faith. God bless you A, today and always.

I didn't forget

I thought I would cut back on my birthday greetings, thinking that my (adult) relatives might be getting a little tired of their faces and birthdays plastered all over the internet....well, my blog, at least. But, I think I might have started a tradition, and not wanting to slight anyone, I would now like to offer my belated, but heartfelt, birthday wishes to my father-in-law, whose birthday was last Friday, Nov. 13.
Thanks for being a great dad and grandpa.
We appreciate all the love and support you've shown us over the years...countless books read to little ones, games of catch, power tool instruction, rides, driving lessons, camping trips and more. Thank you also for all of the help on our house.
We love you.

Happy Birthday, Lexi!

My oldest child leaves her teens behind today! I wish we could be with her to celebrate, but her friends at Franciscan University will, I am sure, make it a special day for her.
We love you, Lexi! Happy 20th Birthday!

Happy 17th Birthday, Isaac

Happy 17th Birthday, Isaac! May God bless you on this journey known as 'manhood'. We love you very much.
I've pulled together some pictures that show how much you've grown over the last few years...I know you won't be embarrassed:)

10 years old!

Happy birthday to my lovely niece, Emmalee! Ten years goes by so fast. It seems like only yesterday you and Ethan were babies sitting on the floor. You were half Ethan's size, but you were poking him in the eye and making him cry!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday, Honey!

I want to wish my wonderful husband a very happy birthday. He tends to be quiet and even a little shy sometimes, but he is a great husband and daddy.
I am so grateful that my children get the opportunity to grow up with a dad who is completely devoted to them, and to me!
I love that his family is his first priority.
I appreciate the hard work he does to provide for us and the incredible work ethic he possesses.
I am so proud to be the wife of a man of such character and integrity.
I am humbled by his faith, inspired by his devotion to Our Lord and to us, and deeply impressed at the depth of his love.
I am honored to call him "husband". God bless you, Scott. Happy Birthday!
